I had such fun doing this hat. She is such a contrast to my cowgirl. I think I will do a couple more " Kentucky Derby" girls then do some thing really different.
For those of you who "create" you know what a joy it is, and perhaps for some of you like me who never thought you could, there just aren't words for me to discribe how much satisifaction it give me to finish a work and feel good about it.
Please let me know what you think.
I think this is my favorite of your hat series, so far. I had to stop by and check out your blog. Nicely done... -Don
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. The hat series was really a fun one. I'm happy you stopped by. Alston
ReplyDeleteSo I see you got the blog following thing figured out - thanks for following mine!
ReplyDeleteQuestion about your wonderful hats: I've never been to the Derby - do women really wear hats this big, and if so, how in the world does anyone see around them?? Surely they must knock people over as they walk by... lol
Hi Debroah,
ReplyDeleteThanks to you I figured out how to do the
" following thing" Now if I can just figure out the rest ! !
Watch your TV listings for when they do the DERBY and watch, just to see the hats ! Yes they really do wear those kind of hats, it's been a tradition since it started. Personally I think the men go to see THE RACES and the women go to BE SEEN . LOL Oh, and you just
" stay out of the way" of the hats LOL
