Ice Box Canyon 18 X 24
Red Rock Canyon is a fascinating place for nature lovers, hikers etc. there are many canyons within the canyon. this one "Ice Box Canyon" is in between these two mountains and when you get inside the shade is very refreshing on a hot day.It is a great place to explore.
Thank you Don. I'm working on a 5 Ft. X 4 Ft. Of one of the rocks in Valley of Fire but I don't know it's name, maybe I will send you a picture of it and you can tell me, I know you know the area really well. Best to you my friend.
Thank you Hallie, I have to admit, I'm working on a cowgirl along with the landscape.I often work on more than one painting at a time to keep myself interested.thank you for stopping by.
Thank you so much Kathleen. Your gallery of work is BEAUTIFUL ! I think my favorite might be the Teton stained glass, probably because like you the Tetons are one of my favorite places.Thank you for stopping by.
Hi Alston, I haven't seen you around in awhile and thought I'd come by and check in. I hope all is well and you're enjoying the fall weather. Take care, -Don
I'm happy you stopped by. I hope you will enjoy your visit and leave a comment on any or all of my work.
If you will leave me your e-mail address I will e-picture you my latest work while it's still wet on the easel. I might even send you a work in progress.
A little art with your morning coffee or tea.Or perhaps with a relaxing libation in the evening.
If you like my work please tell a friend and come back often for a visit. I look forward to seeing you.
It was after completing my business career and raising my children that I was able to devote myself and my time to my PASSION for oil painting. I am primarily self taught, I bascially taught myself to paint because I told my sons " you can do ANYTHING if you want to do it badly enough" and since I ALWAYS wanted to paint I decided I should set the example by doing it. And words can not say how much I love painting.
I am creating educational coloring books for young children. I am frustrated seeing the lack of education our children are getting. I think children learn better whenlearnig is fun, therefore my coloring books.
Alston, you've captured that copper stripe perfectly. It is one of my favorite features of Red Rock. Nice job. -Don

As I said on Scuttlebutt, I really like this one.
ReplyDeleteI've never worked on a series but I admire people who can stick with it. I have trouble sticking with just one medium.
Good work.
Thank you Hallie,
